Ahhh, summer. The days are hot and the nights are long, giving you plenty of time to mark some fun activities off your bucket list. Every time summer rolls around, we can’t wait to offer some refreshing cocktails and dive into our favorite city activities. Nightlight 614 is a 21+ social outdoor film series placed along the Scioto River, giving you the ultimate view of a binge-worthy movie AND the beautiful skyline of Columbus. Enjoy some of Columbus’s best wine, craft beer, and local food trucks while watching a movie with a ton of friends. Take a new approach to a night on the town by keeping it chill and low key with Nightlight 614. Check out their schedule, with multiple showings each month up until October! Be sure to purchase tickets in advance, as they tend to go fast.
Don’t let living in Ohio stop you from hitting up the beach. Escape the busy city life by taking a day trip to Buckeye Lake, an hour drive South of Columbus. Crystal Beach offers fabulous sunbathing and swimming opportunities, so be sure to grab your SPF! After spending a day in the sun, head over to Buckeye Lake Brewery for some cold craft beer and refueling food.
Sunset by the Scioto
End your day with a relaxing sunset, with the best views being by the Scioto River near Downtown Columbus. Grab a Co-Go Bike and hit the bike path while cruising along the river as the sun dips into the horizon. Feeling lazy? No worries. There are tons of swinging chairs along the path to chill and soak up the last bit of sun. We suggest heading there before sunfall to snag a seat!
Did you know there is a huge Farmer’s Market located in Downtown Columbus every Tuesday and Friday, 10:30AM-1:30PM? The Pearl Market occurs twice a week and is a popular event filled with food trucks, local food vendors, handmade goods, and much more! Grab your co-workers and head to the lawn of The Ohio State House to score some goods!
Brunch at Arch City
Of course, we weren’t going to let our delicious brunch options slide by your bucket list. For real, if you are looking for a savory, mouthwatering, overall satisfying meal to refuel your Saturday or Sunday morning, then look no further. Start with a house made bloody mary or a refreshing mimosa while browsing our brunch menu. If you are having trouble deciding on a dish, we suggest the Salmon Benedict or Huevos Rancheros.
