Summer in the City ; Things to Do in Columbus
We hope you’re enjoying this amazing summer as much as we are here at Arch City Tavern! We’ve had great weather all summer long and can’t get enough of the open windows at the front of our store. In addition to grabbing a stiff drink and some tasty grub here at the pub, we thought we’d highlight a few other things to enjoy in central Columbus this time of year. Don’t forget to show your favorite Short North bar some love by stopping in for dinner after a day of fun in the capital city!
Catch the Crew & Clippers
While we all impatiently await the start of football season, the Columbus Crew is playing soccer at Mapfre Stadium and the Columbus Clippers can always be seen at Huntington Park. Both teams play several games throughout the summer months. It’s a great time watching our home team take on teams from across the states on home turf, along with cold beer and fresh hot dogs!
See Shows at Shadowbox Live
You may not know that Columbus is home to the biggest full time ensemble theater troupe in the country and they put on shows in the Brewery District year round. Shadowbox Live is a great experience to watch live concert theater and sketch comedy with drinks in hand. This summer their putting on a tribute to David Bowie and Prince, as well as the famous Rock of Ages musical. Definitely a good time and it’s always great to support live local art!
Summer Concert Series
Columbus is lucky to have a thriving music scene with a whole range of musical acts and concerts going on all the time. Learn more about the Columbus summer concert schedule and find a show to enjoy! We’re happy to help you pre-party and welcome you after the show for a night cap!

We love Gallery Hop and not just because it happens right in front of our windows!
