Cheers to Jazz & Rib Fest!

Columbus’ largest FREE outdoor music festival and one of the nation’s largest rib cook-offs got its origins in 1979 when Music in the Air launched Jazz in July.  The idea was to present jazz through several mediums of art at a variety of parks in the Columbus area. The idea grew until the Jazz & Rib Fest was born. Highly anticipated, The Jazz & Rib Fest is a summertime tradition which has been offering jazz and rib fanatics alike, the finest in music and barbeque in Columbus for more than thirty years.

McFerson Commons and North Bank Park stages will be where the majority of the event happens, with performances featuring the best regional and international jazz artists. The Jazz Café at North Bank Pavilion will highlight local artists on a cozy riverfront stage with the city skyline as a backdrop. Grills and smokers will be going along Spring & Long Streets to compete for “Best Ribs” bragging rights amongst representatives from ten states and Canada.

All Food vendors will be open Friday and Saturday from 11am – 11pm, and Sunday from 11am – 8:30 pm. Food and concessions will be available during event hours only.

FESTIVAL LINE-UP Over 40 bands and performers will be taking to three stages over the weekend. There’s something for everyone, with the grand finale—The Rib Awards Presentation—taking place Sunday, July 19 at 6:00 pm on the American Electric Power Stage.
